Sick In Texas

So let me start out with the plane ride. It was pure Hell. That would be my definition of the place, being in a plane with it packed with people, stuffy that you get so nauseated just waiting for the plane to take off. The plane was completely full and for some reason they had Maddi and I in separate rows. My parents however were seated next to each other. Maddi and I both had middle seats, so trying to get someone to switch us was going to be short of miracle. I took my parents seat and put McKay's car seat and him in it. That's when the screaming started. We hadn't even taken off yet and it had already started. I just wanted to cry with him. Do I really want to do this as I sat there listening to him and Maddi screaming. If anyone knows my kids they know they don't have quite voices. My dad came back and took McKay and held him until the plane took off. Well my dad ask the man next to me if he wouldn't mind switching seats with my mom so she and Maddi could sit with me, and of course when he found out it was a middle seat he said no. I don't blame him who wants to be in the middle especially when the plane was as packed as it was. It was at that time I called Graham and started to go off and how this was going to be a nightmare and when he gets to Texas he is going to give me the longest back massage and serve me hand and foot, well I think the guy next to me felt bad and said he would switch us seats. The plane finally takes off and we are in the air, McKay fell asleep thank goodness. However I had another child that become Satan's child as soon as the plane took off. She didn't want to sit in her seat and she screamed and throw the biggest fit, nothing would entertain her, she would not watch her movies we bought new toys and coloring things for her nothing worked. I wanted to scream and tell her if she doesn't calm down I will beat her but of course I was only thinking that. I just let my mom deal with her while I tried to read. I am sure that guy didn't mind seating in that middle seat, too bad I couldn't switch him. Well we had a lay over in Denver and that actually was really good for the kids to get out and let them run around for a bit. We made it to Texas half awake. The next morning I felt so sick, I had a sore throat and an ear ache and just felt nauseated all day. McKay also felt so sick. He kept throwing up all morning. I could tell that this was going to be a long weekend. Luckily for me my parents watched my kids and Graham finally came in that evening. So all I had to do was rest. The next day we went downtown to the River walk which was actually very fun but we were out in the hot sun and very exhausted. We decided to eat on the River Walk. They had so many restaurants to choose from. We unfortunately picked one that would that would eventually leave four of us with food poison. My Dad, my sister, my mom and my brother all felt sick and were up through the night taking turn in the bathroom. We were going to go to Sea World today I don't know if any one will be up for it, expect for Graham and I and our kids, I think maybe my mom might go but we will see. Texas has not been exactly treating us well here. Hopefully everyone will feel better soon.

Could it get any worse?

So I am suppose to leave on a plane ride here in five hours and McKay is feeling so sick. He has a double Ear infection and has been throwing up since six O'clock this morning, seriouly every five mins. I took Maddi to preschool and he throw up the way there and back. Notice the pink blankets all of his blankets are in the washer because he throw up on them. I sat him on the couch while I went to the kitken to get a paper towel to clean him up and I came back and he was fast alseep. Poor Boy! I called the doctors and they said I have to wait at least one to two hours to give him any fluids. Dont know what to do about today's travel!!

Friends at last

It is so nice to see your kids play so nice with each other. The other night Maddi kept pushing McKay around on this car and they were both laughing and have a great time. I just loved it. If only they could play like that all the time!

twilight

So for those you know me know that I don’t read at all. I hate it I would rather do so many other things than read. My mind wonders, and then I forget what I am reading about and so forth and so forth, anyway, so many people tell me that this is such a good book and that if I tried it I would just love it! So I am leaving to go to Texas this week and I thought I can try to read it on the plane, my mother in law was nice enough to let me borrow this book, but we will see if it will keep my interest. Hopefully for my sake it does. Six hours on a plane with kids not exactly my ideal of fun. Texas will be the plane ride won’t be!

Bye bye crib

Yesterday was one of the saddest days. It all started yesterday morning when I laid asleep in my bed and heard on the monitor "Mommy I am awake come get me." She probably repeated that a few times, but I was so tired that I thought maybe she would go back to sleep, then some silence and I thought to myself, aw finally she went back to sleep as I turned over I saw Maddi staring at me and scared me half to death and she said " Hi mommy I am awake." She finally climbed out of her crib. So now she in a real bed and life has become just a bit harder. If only I had gotten up maybe all of this would not have happen!!!

Oh the life.... Lunch and some shopping

Today I went to lunch with my good friend Tiffany. We had so much fun talking and laughing; as you can see so did our kids!! This is such a cute picture of Khloee and McKay. I know it doesnt seem like it but Mckay is in fact five months older than Khloee, they both look like the same age. I think we will have to take McKay to a growth specialist!! Tiff thanks so much for such a fun day oh and thanks for the two diapers and using up all your wipes!! Sorry about that!After lunch we went shopping. As you can see Kwincee and Maddi kept themselves quite entertained. I think they will be very good models for window display; what do you think Tiff? They definitely know how to dress.

The half yearly pictures of Maddi and McKay

About every six months I get the kids pictures taken. The kids did such an amazing job at the photo session that it made it so hard to decide what pictures to choose. I thought they turned out so cute!! I wish I had the CD so everyone could really see what they look like, but here they are anyway. Sorry if it is a bit fuzzy!

Maddi so badly wants someone to play dress up with her, as you can see the only person she can dress up is her brother! At first he was a good sport but as you scroll down you will see he just wants nothing to do with it, he actually ended up breaking the bands on the princess hat because he wanted off so badly.
